Describe crowding, carts, deliveries and peak periods so activation and operation can be assessed for the actual application. Industrial pedestrian access must be considered separately from vehicle or loading-bay equipment.

General contractors, architects and accessibility consultants can use a door-by-door brief to coordinate hardware, electrical, security and accessibility responsibilities. Provide schedules and specifications where available and identify any procurement conditions.
Allow for local conditions
Exterior exposure, cleaning practices, operating hours and existing finishes influence selection. Confirm the applicable project requirements and the party responsible for approvals. For public facilities, include clear signage and understandable user feedback in the scope.
