Assess the opening
Start with the facility address, opening type, existing operator and functional need. Identify whether the enquiry is for new work, a retrofit, a washroom or a fault. The initial review determines what information is missing and whether a site visit is needed.
Define the scope
Document equipment, control interfaces and work by other trades. Identify professional design, permit or inspection responsibilities where required. Pricing should distinguish the agreed work, assumptions and any exclusions; a sensor price is not a complete project quote.
Plan the installation
Agree access hours, tenant or staff notices, power coordination and appropriate routes during the work. Confirm equipment and service availability for each address. Site-specific conditions and additional findings can affect timing and scope.
Verify & hand over
Verify the agreed operating modes and interfaces, including relevant locking, indication and safety functions. Record equipment and outstanding items. Explain the intended controls and who to contact for service; assistance signalling also needs a facility response procedure.
